CEO, Head of Hedge Funds

Michael joined AQUIS Capital in October 2020 as CEO and Head of Hedge Funds, having over 15 years’ experience in the hedge funds and over 20 years in the portfolio management industry. Before joining AQUIS Capital, Michael worked at Belvédère Asset Management, a Swiss based multi-family office and asset manager as Deputy of the Head Asset Management and Senior Portfolio and Fund of Funds Manager. Prior to this, he spent over 10 years with Marcuard Heritage / Alpinum Investment Management, a Swiss based multi-family office as Senior Portfolio / Fund of Funds Manager and as the Deputy of the Chief Investment Officer. Preceding, Michael was a Portfolio Manager at Horizon21 Wealth Management, also a Swiss based family office. Michael started his career at Credit Suisse, where he was at the end working as Portfolio Manager in the field of Investment Strategy Mutual Funds.

Michael is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and degree course taken in parallel to professional work at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences, graduating as Business Economist (Dipl. ‘Betriebsökonom FH’).
